Hello Stranger.
11:02 PM, March 29, 2009
I had a blast in NYC visiting my awesome friends - Brett and Lillie. I walked a million miles, tried foods I never had the balls to try before and saw people I wanted to draw had I the patience at the time. One old man was wearing a long fur coat, sporting a hat with colored feathers and walking with a cane. Priceless.
I would post more pictures but I’m on a friend’s incredibly slow wifi. Ug. I’ll try to post more later - looks like I might have lost my signal. Grr.

New York, New York!
12:45 AM, March 17, 2009
Tomorrow - well, today - I’m flying to NYC to hang with my awesome friend and his fiance (wife? They could have quietly gotten married by now.) and I’m stoked!
I’m not taking my computer for fear of theft - but I’ll see if I can keep you up to date. Otherwise, I’m taking my camera and sketchbook - so I’ll post some pictures or drawings later if I do any.

I remember watching a video in high school about snails and their “love rods,” so I thought this video was super awesome!

I found this in my drawer the other day. I did it in class several years ago. Yes, it’s very simple. Yes, a lot of my artwork usually involves blood. :)

My favorite song.

I love this song by Flogging Molly, I listen to it repeatedly while driving. It’s beautiful and sad but comforting.
Whenever I die I want it played at my funeral.

And here is a song for when I’m down.

Great comic series!

I recently found Joey Sayer’s comics and I love her sense of humor. A little edgy for some people probably but whatevs. This is from her Thingpart series. Her website is www.jsayers.com but I like viewing everything through her flickr.

Happy Birthday Brother! (yesterday)
11:00 PM, February 1, 2009
My brother Shawn had a birthday yesterday. I’m not going to say how old he turned, but I will say this, he saw the original Star Wars in the theater back in the day - like 13 times! :)

I’m on Skull-a-Day. Rad.
01:32 AM, January 26, 2009
Yesterday, Noah from skulladay.com, posted a picture of a skull simulacra I sent in a little while ago! (He posts daily submissions of skull awesomeness on his blog, check it out!)
This is what I submitted. Can you see the skull?

In case you can’t see it, this should help.

I love the ornamentation on the bed, it has inspired some sketches in my moleskine. The idea can definetely be improved upon, but I’m still happy with it.
Watch this video to get a better idea about Noah and his skulladay project. Yes, he was on Martha Stewart.

Terribly Awesome Movies!
04:02 AM, January 25, 2009
I’m craving some good ol’ so-terrible-they’re-awesome movies. Here are a few of my favorites.
They Live (1988). One of the best movies in existence! I love this movie more than I can say.
No Retreat Not Surrender (1986). So bad it’s good! Seriously. I’m not kidding.
Thrashin’ (1896). Skateboard jousting, need I say more?
