I’m in Wichita, Kansas!

Hey! I made it to Wichita, to my old school chum Rick’s house. On the way here I took a few pictures I shall share with you later. I saw a big easel with a Van Gogh reproduction, some neat buildings and a cool windfarm, which reminded me of one in that old 80’s movie Mac and Me. Anyone see that?

Alirght, I’ll post more later, we’re going to hang out.

On the road again, towards Kansas.

Hey there reader,

I’m on the road again today. I’m heading to Wichita, Kansas. But on the way I’m going to try to see some awesome roadside attractions, World’s Largest Ball of Twine anyone? This is more or less my route today, but I may stray this way or that. I’ll keep you updated.

P.S. Here are a few pictures from our visit to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo with the kiddos and adults the other day. :)

Talk to you soon, I need to hit the road. :)

I’m purdy.

My uncle just emailed this picture of me, from my Aunt’s birthday a few weeks ago. :)

And here is my inspiration, my oldest brother Shawn. :)

Nothing new, yet.

Just letting my one reader know I’m still in Colorado Springs. We had my niece, Autumn’s, birthday yesterday. She had like five 9 year-olds stay the night! It was a good time. Now I’m hanging with my brother Todd at a wi-fi spot down the street, browsing the internets.

I’m going to be heading out again in the next day or so. I’ll let you know which way I’m headed. In the mean time I’ll be doing laundry, enjoying showers and readying myself for more trip action.

p.s. Thanks to Carrie and Cliff who’ve been putting up with me for almost a week, and feeding me and smelling my feet (which I’ve been blaming on the kids). :)

The Kiddos in Co Springs

Because I’m still at the coffee shop, using the wi-fi, I figured I’d show you the awesome stencils we did last week with my nieces and nephews. Here are the little monsters. :) Ian, Autumn, Zoe and Tyler.

And here are their stencils. Ian’s stencil, since he didn’t have a book to spray it on.

Tyler messed up and is waiting to spray his stencil on his book again. So, here is the stencil he drew and cut most of it out himself.

I helped Autumn with hers. She wanted a baby walking on a sunflower. Then she added the other elements.

Lastly, here is Zoe’s. It is a princess with her horse, and we tried to spray her name in the upper right-hand corner.

This project was fun, regardless of my joking from the last post about it. :) Maybe, Aunt Melissa can influence the kiddos into being artists when they grow up. I mean, it’s working so well for me. Haha. :)

Resting (in CO Springs).

So, I realized I was only a few hours from Colorado Springs again and decided to come back for a little while. Plus, I was invited *waves at Carrie and Cliff*.

Yesterday, before I left Sidney, NE, I went to an awesome thrift store next to a coffee shop. I love those kinds of thrift stores where books are like 10 cents and clothes are $1-3 each. You don’t find many of those anymore, most secondhand shops are trying to be like real stores, which sucks. If I wanted to go to a real store I wouldn’t be at a thrift store!

Anyway, I left Nebraska and headed down some bass-ackwards country roads, south to Colorado Springs.

I had to pull over and take a picture of this truck, which is the kind I’d love to own, in better condition. This is a 1947 Chevy selling for $3500! No thanks.

The scenery was really beautiful but by the time I got to CarrieandCliff’s (one word) my gas-pushing knee was killing me. I don’t know how truck drivers do it. I’m probably going to chill here for a few days and visit the local sights, like Seven Falls and Garden of the Gods. Then, maybe I’ll go south to Roswell, or east to Kansas *waves at old school chum, Rick*. It’s still all up in the air.
